JustGroup and NaUKMA sign a memorandum of strategic cooperation in the field of criminal justice - Just Group

On June 27, 2025, JustGroup and the National University of Kyiv-Mohyla Academy signed a memorandum to structure and deepen cooperation.

We remind you that JustGroup’s cooperation with NaUKMA began in 2024. Back then, with the support of the Faculty of Law, the JustStudents dialog platform was launched.  Since then, a number of events have been organized in synergy, such as Criminal Justice Summer School, JustClub meetings, and the pilot season of a program to explore a lawyer’s vocation.

“We recognize the important role of integrating the efforts of academia, state institutions, and non-governmental organizations, as well as the value of interaction and exchange of knowledge and best practices. We are grateful to NaUKMA for its trust and support in piloting the “Investigative Interviewing” elective course and will be happy to expand cooperation in research initiatives, student programs, and joint development of educational products for the legal community,” said Vasylyna Yavorska, JustGroup Team Leader.

The President of NaUKMA, Serhii Kvit, also emphasized the value of partnership in forming a new generation of lawyers and developing criminal justice practitioners.

“I believe that by working together we will create a space for growth in the field of criminal justice, both for students and practitioners of various state institutions and professional legal environments to transform the criminal justice system into a human-centered, effective, and fair system,” said Serhii Kvit.

We agree that more can be achieved in partnership. We look forward to close cooperation in the following areas:

  • Implementation of the educational disciplines developed by JustGroup, as Investigative Interviewing methodology and Criminal Investigation Standards;
  • designing and implementing training and development programs for criminal justice practitioners (investigators, detectives, prosecutors, judges, and attorneys);
  • development of joint methodological materials, guidelines, manuals, and other training resources;
  • conducting joint research in the field of criminal justice;
  • support of student initiatives and creation of conditions for the development of leadership skills, critical thinking.
